Endearing product with thoughtful features

I bought this on a whim after seeing it being demonstrated at PAX. It's really cute and I love the customisability it offers. The developers thought of and implemented pretty much every feature I expected like custom images, audio functionality, and a marketplace to download other people's creations.

The only thing dragging it down is the wonky initial setup experience (why doesn't the pixel light support connecting to networks with hidden SSIDs?!) and the awful app that we are forced to use. The app poses a privacy concern by asking for a lot of seemingly unnecessary permissions to function. Overall, it's also super confusing to navigate, poorly translated into English, and is not very performant.
